We work hard to keep instruction periods uninterrupted.
If you need to discuss something with your child’s teacher, please call or e-mail the teacher to make an appointment. If you desire to visit your child’s classroom, please make an appointment with your child’s teacher at least one day ahead of time (24hrs). Items dropped off for students should be left in the office and the office staff will contact the classroom for pickup. In order to ensure the safety of children, all parents, visitors and volunteers are required to check in at the office and wear a visitors badge.
Thanking you in advance
Every absence is a learning opportunity lost and can have significant impacts on a student’s success in school and life. A student who misses 10% or more of their school days, which amounts to 18 or more days in a school year—or just two days a month—for any reason is considered chronically absent. Chronically absent students are more likely to fall behind in reading and math and less likely to graduate from high school.
Daily opening activities are an essential part of each school day. Students who arrive after the 9:00 a.m. bell are tardy and must stop by the office to pick up an admission slip before they can be admitted to their class. Tardies for reasons other than medical or dental appointments are dealt with in the same manner as absences since they do not allow the child to be in class and learning. Those students who walk or are car riders should arrive at school no earlier than 8:40 a.m.
The phone number to call for absences is 425-204-4901.
