Lindbergh High School senior Moyaak Chuol wins state high school Aerospace Manufacturer contest
February 25, 2019—Lindbergh High School senior Moyaak Chuol has won the state’s high school Aerospace Manufacturer contest and is considered the top Aerospace Manufacturer student in Washington state.
Four Lindbergh High School students, under the guidance of Lindbergh High’s Construction/Industrial Technology/Aerospace teacher Creed Nelson, competed on Saturday in the state Skills USA Aerospace Manufacturers competition at the Boeing plant in Everett. William Charlot, Kendrick Bynum, Cullen Harris and Moyaak Chuol, competed against students from 14 high schools throughout the state. The competition included hands-on manufacturing projects, a professional mock interview with staff from Boeing’s human resources department, and a resume critique. The seven-hour competition was judged by Boeing employees who are subject-matter experts. All four of the Lindbergh students preformed exceedingly well.
Moyaak has interviewed and accepted a position to work at Boeing immediately after he graduates in June.
