Renton High students take on regional leadership roles

Renton High student leaders March 6, 2017—Renton High School students recently attended a training conference in Olympia on civil discourse hosted by the Institute for Public Deliberation.

Six 11th-graders, led by social studies teacher Christina Neuschwander, attended training that helps young people learn to facilitate difficult conversations on a variety of topics to help promote civic engagement.

The training qualifies the Renton High students as Association of Washington Student Leaders, which prepares them to facilitate conversations at their school and other schools around the Puget Sound area.
