McKnight's Community Service Committee has extended the homelessness drive until February 28th. Please donate items such as soaps, clothing, kitchen utensils, and deodorant to the box outside your classroom door. The class that donates the most items will win a prize.

Hey Lancers want to show off your school spirit?  Well next week you can.  Monday is Mismatch Day. Tuesday is Twin Day, Wednesday is Sports Day, Thursday is McKnight Day and Finally next Friday is Flashback Friday. So show your LANCER SPIRIT NEXT WEEK.

Do you have library books that you are done reading? They might be overdue! Return them to the library so they aren’t marked lost on your account which creates fines.

Have library books or textbooks sitting in your bedroom from last year or from elementary school? Bring library books to Ms. Nelson and textbooks to student services.

Attention all artists! The 2018-2019 McKnight handbook cover art contest is still on. Design your own shield or coat of arms representing the Lancer Way traits, and you could win great art prizes. Want more details? Contest rules are available outside the attendance office. Entries are due on February 1st.

Drama Club Members don’t miss out: Club Shirts for the Musical are on sale just through tomorrow. Order forms are available outside attendance office or get one during your drama club meeting tonight!

Other Information or Upcoming News:

•Bus Information: Students wishing to ride a different bus home must provide a written note to the Student Services from a parent or guardian. No phone call for passes. Bus passes are for limited use and are not intended to be issued on an on- going basis. Notes must include the following: Student’s first and last name, grade, bus route number, the first and last name of student with whom they are riding home with and their bus number.  Bus pass notes are due to student services no later than 12:30pm.

•*Activity Buses: All students riding activity buses need to know their home address, a nearby elementary school, or some other landmark (i.e. the big Safeway, McDonalds, a neighborhood sign, etc.). There are only three buses that cover our entire service area, and students need to be able to tell the drivers where they live. If a student does not know, they will be asked to go to Student Services and call their parent/guardian.

Late Start Fridays: Would you like a place to go on late start Fridays?  Right across the street from McKnight at St. Matthew’s you can come by from 7:45 to 9am for pancakes and some time with your friends.  You can work on some homework or play some Rock Band or the WiiU – and it’s all free.  See you there!
