Reservations
The Renton IKEA Performing Arts Center reservation calendar opens to the public in late-July for the upcoming fiscal year (September to August). To check availability, please contact the theater at 425.204.3455 or by email ripac.info@rentonschools.us.
We ask that our clients begin the booking process by completing the Booking Request Questionnaire and emailing it to ripac.info@rentonschools.us.
Seating Capacity
Mildly raked house with no balcony. The venue seats up to 551 with permanent theater seating, including 8 wheelchair spaces. Download our Seating Chart.
Note: The theater must be notified in advance if any wheelchair seats are sold.
For a seating chart that shows seats that are six feet apart, download the Seating Chart - Socially Distanced. This assumes that each person in attendance must sit separately and maintain the six feet of distance. This configuration only allows for 62 persons to be seated in the house.

The Renton IKEA Performing Arts Center is 16,800 square feet and includes the following spaces:
- Lobby - 2,665 Sq. Ft.
- Backstage - 2,932 Sq. Ft.
- Green Room - 464 Sq. Ft.
- Dressing Room A - 202 Sq. Ft.
- Dressing Room B - 150 Sq. Ft.
- Dressing Room C - 790 Sq. Ft.
- Scene Shop - 1326 Sq. Ft.
Also available are the following floor plans with important location information for the hours audio system inputs and outputs, ClearCom connections and stations, and stage audio monitoring control.
Parking
Onsite parking lot with 180 spaces is located to the east of the performing arts center. Use is free, but availability is not guaranteed.
Note: Onsite parking is not allowed from 7am-2pm during any school day. Additional parking is available at the City of Renton Parking Garage, located one half block away south east of the theater's parking lot.
Technical Staff
The theaters' technical production staff consists of locally trained stagehands supervised by a Technical Director. Based on the needs of your event, we will staff trained lighting, sound technicians, and grip in the appropriate areas. Renton High School, located adjacent to the theater provides student technicians for appropriate events. Interns are supervised at all times.
Please Note: Only Renton IKEA Performing Arts Center staff may operate the theater's light, sound, and rigging equipment.
Equipment Rental
A limited number of equipment items are available during your rental. Some require an additional rental fee, please reach out with questions!

Rental Rates
The rental rates for the performing arts center varies depending on the organization that is requesting use of the space. For an accurate quote based on your rental needs, please contact the theater manager at 425.204.3455.
Rates for renting the space is set by the School Board. Download the current rates.
Insurance Requirements
Prior to using district facilities, all renters are required to provide a certificate of insurance. If we do not have a certificate on file, one month prior to the event, your booking may be canceled, and cancellation fees would apply.
At their own cost, the renter shall secure and maintain through the duration of their rental contract, Comprehensive General Liability insurance for bodily injuries (including sickness or death) and property damages, with a limit of not less than $1,000,000 for each accident or occurrence, and general aggregate with a limit of not less than $2,000,000. Insurers affording coverage must carry a Best Rating of A-VIII or better.
With regards to General Liability, Auto Liability, Excess Liability, Renton School District #403, its directors, officers, and employees, shall be a certificate holder and added as additional insured with the following endorsement form:
- Additional Insured form CG2011 for Ongoing and Completed Operations, or equivalent (required);
- Waiver of Subrogation form CG2404, or equivalent (if available);
- and Primary and Non-Contributory form CG20010413, or equivalent (if available).
Copies of the forms should be submitted with the Certificate of Insurance.
The Additional Insured should read: Renton School District #403, its directors, officers, and employees, 300 SW 7th Street, Renton WA 98057.

Booking Guarantee
To guarantee your booking, these (4) items must be submitted within ten (10) days of venue confirmation:
- Signed Rental Contract (A counter-signed copy will be returned to you)
- Deposit Payment (A final invoice will be sent following the event showing total fees and balance due.)
- Technical Rider (If a formal rider is not available, an entire listing of requirements may be accepted.)
- Insurance Certificate
Cancelation Policy
A client may cancel without penalty up to 90 days before the event. Their deposit is 100% refundable if cancelation is requested in writing more than 90 days prior to the start date of the reservation. Cancelation less than 90 days prior to the start date of the reservation will forfeit 100% of their deposit. Cancellation within 15 days of the event, the entire quoted amount will be due.
A change in event dates that makes the start date later, will be considered a cancelation and re-booking must occur. Adding additional dates beyond the end date does not constitute cancelation and can be made if staffing is available and the facility is not reserved.
