Summer School and Summer In-Home Learning Opportunities
Renton School District students have access to various summer learning opportunities including learning software and materials used throughout this school year. Students will access these digital tools over the summer in generally the same way as during the school year. All students, with the exception of graduating seniors or students transferring out of the district, may keep their district-issued Chromebooks and hotspot internet devices over the summer months to access independent learning opportunities. Students will have access to several learning platforms to support learning like DreamBox for math, myON for reading, code.org for coding, and more (see the full list in the tab "Access Summer Learning from Home" below).
Additionally, we'll provide a remote option using i-Ready math and reading lessons for students in grades K-8. Elementary and middle schools are also working now to identify students who need more strategic, in-person support. Students participating in in-person support will be provided with Renton School bus transportation.
