Child Find: Does Your Child Have a Disability?
What is Child Find?
Child Find is the process of locating and evaluating children with disabilities. IDEA, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, requires all school districts to locate, evaluate and provide services for students birth to 21 who have a qualifying disability.
If your Child is Preschool Age (3 to 5 years old):
Contact the Meadow Crest Early Learning Center Child Find Coordinator, Lisa Young at 425-204-2205
If your Child is School Age (Kindergarten - 21 years old):
Contact the main office at your neighborhood school.
If your Child is a Private School Student or Home School Student:
Contact your neighborhood school to make a referral for evaluation for Special Education Services. The School Locator can help locate what your neighborhood school would be.
