Elementary Education
Renton School District has 16 elementary schools serving students in Kindergarten through 5th grade with core curricula in reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies, and specialist classes in library, music, and physical education. Each elementary school, except for Sartori, also hosts a Ready K program, which is a full-day transitional kindergarten program that serves children who turn four years old on or before August 31, live within the Renton School District boundaries, and have had no access to quality early learning experiences.
Six of the elementary schools comprise The Renton Innovation Zone (RIZ): Bryn Mawr, Campbell Hill, Highlands, Hilltop Heritage, Lakeridge, and Sartori. Sartori is our STEM elementary school. Families who reside in the Renton School District and are interested in having their children attend Sartori, but live outside of the Sartori service area, should review the Sartori Lottery Process Overview.
The remaining ten schools are Benson Hill, Cascade, Hazelwood, Honey Dew, Kennydale, Maplewood Heights, Renton Park, Sierra Heights, Talbot Hill, and Tiffany Park. Talbot Hill is the site of our elementary Spanish Dual Language Program. Families interested in applying for their students to join the program can learn more at Spanish Dual Language Program.
