What is CTSO Jam?

The CTSO Jam is a district-wide event designed to boost student involvement and success in Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) such as DECA, FBLA, FFA, HOSA, FCCLA, Teacher’s Rising, ASB, and other career clubs. This full-day event will allow students to participate in career-focused workshops, compete in mock interviews, and interact with peers across Renton School District.

Event Objectives

• Increase student achievement and participation in CTSOs.
• Demonstrate the benefits of CTSO involvement and provide actionable insights on how students can advance to state, national, and international competitions.
• Promote equity by ensuring students from traditionally marginalized communities can access these opportunities.

Expected Benefits

• Enhanced student understanding of CTSOs and the pathways to success.
• Increased participation and interaction among students within the district.
• Greater representation and equity for students from traditionally marginalized communities.

This event is organized, promoted, and presented by and for students. Please remember that students are still learning and doing their best job.  Please approach them with compassion and with the expectation that they are working hard.
