Jack Sparrow Scholarship Application
Renton High School Jack Sparrow Athletic Scholarship
For many years the Renton 21 Club has honored our Renton High School athletes with the Jack Sparrow Athletic Scholarship. Due to Covid-19, the Renton 21 Club is shutting its doors and this will be the last academic year the scholarship opportunity is offered. 2 x $1000 scholarship are being awarded.
The Renton 21 Club is offering an athletic scholarship to a graduating Athletic Senior who embodies the ideals, spirit, involvement, ethics, sportsmanship, and scholastic efforts and achievements of Jack Sparrow.
Of course the first Jack Sparrow you think of is the pirate from Pirates of the Caribbean; however, the 1st Jack Sparrow that this scholarship is recognizing is not a pirate at all, but a 1956 Renton High School graduate! Jack Sparrow was a lifelong Rentonite, a Renton business man, and an active member of The Renton 21 Club for many years.
