Disney College| Graduating Seniors
As a Disney College Program participant, you'll become part of the magic that is known worldwide. Walgreens is proud to invest in and champion an “earn while you learn” Pharmacy Technician Training Program recognized by ASHP and the Department of Labor. Gene Juarez Cosmetology| 17+
Gene Juarez Academy: To become a licensed cosmetologist in WA state, students must complete 1,600 hours of training and pass State Exams. Our program is four days per week and takes approximately 13 months to complete.
Dental Assistant Internship| 18+
ICH is looking for Dental Assistant Interns to serve in Bellevue, Seattle and Shoreline. Launch your career and receive advancement opportunities.
Sprinkler Fitters Apprenticeship Training| 18+
Apprenticeship requires a signed agreement between you and the JACTC which ensure quality training on-the-job, and in the classroom. You literally earn while you learn during this five-year program.

Computing for All is hosting IT/Web Development/Software Paid Pre-Apprenticeship
July 5th – August 17th, 2023

Hands-on IT Tech skills training for 270 hours over six levels. You will complete up to three levels this summer. This earn-while-you-learn opportunity is paid and takes place on Zoom virtually for 20 hours/week.

Military recruiters from the United States Air Force, Army, Marines, National Guard, Navy visit Hazen once a month to share information with students. These visits usually take place during lunch either in the Commons or the Cafeteria. Feel free to chat with these recruiters if you are interested. GESA Credit Union-RHS High School| Age 16+
The RHS GESA Credit Union will open in September 2023, GESA is ready to hire their student intern(s) at RHS! This is a paid job with GESA. The student(s) selected will work for GESA this summer and next school year at their Tukwila branch. In addition, once the school year starts this student will manage our student run credit union at RHS AND will be paid by GESA to run the credit union while its open. To sweeten the pot, any student who completes their internship will receive a scholarship from GESA for approximately $3,000-$5,000. GESA is willing to work with student sports and activities schedules, they’d love to hire a multilingual student (though not required), and they’re open to hiring more than one student if we move to a 2 lunch schedule and can’t make the student’s schedule work to cover both lunches. Students need to be 16 when the position starts (end of school year) to apply.

Worksite Learning
Work Site Learning (WSL) is a wonderful learning experience for juniors and seniors that connects knowledge and skills obtained in the classroom to those needed in the work environment. If you have a job and meet the requirements of the Work Site Learning program, you can receive one-half credit for every 180 hours you work.
Parent School Work Authorization Forms
Parent School Work Authorization
All working minors, a person younger than eighteen, must have a Parent/School Work Authorization on file with their employer with the required Parent and School authorization prior to beginning their first day of work (there is a special summer form if the minor starts work during the summer).
Employer initiates the form
- This is a legal/state document that should be completed in blue or black pen
- EMPLOYERS

- Employers initiate the Parent/School Work Authorization process then keep on file once all signatures have been obtained. Students should not work until completed.
- Employers need to complete & sign their sections, including hours
- We no longer accept PSWA forms prior to 2018
- NOTE: Students CANNOT start work until their neighborhood school schedule ends.
- Employers need to renew every school year by the end of September

Resume
A resume is a document that job applicants use to summarize their work experience, educational background, work experience, volunteer activities, and special skills.
Your resume communicates your qualifications and your brand—who you are and what makes you different-to employers and recruiters. In a tough job market, you need a resume’ that helps you stand out in a sea of applicants. Ultimately, the purpose of a strategically, targeting, polished resume’ is to get the interview.
Your resume should be truthful, organized, error free, and show how your experiences match what the employer wants.
Watch videos on how create a resume. Then use this worksheet to plan out your information. Be sure to add your CTE coursework and what you learned along with languages you speak/read/write.

A cover letter usually is three paragraphs long and outlines why you are applying for a specific position, a brief overview of your professional background and what makes you uniquely qualified for the job, refer to job posting for key words. While some employers require a cover letter to apply, others make it optional.
