 Renton School District administrators, teachers, and staff focus our energy, resources, ideas, and goals on academic achievement, student success, and the limitless promise of our children. Creating life-long learners is at the heart of the district’s instructional goals. Students are encouraged to strive for excellence through a variety of programs that focus on growing their academic skills, problem solving, creative and critical thinking, and social and emotional growth. The Renton School District provides a safe and challenging learning environment for a diverse population of approximately 15,800 students in Pre-K through 12th grade in 3 comprehensive high schools, 4 comprehensive middle schools, 15 elementary schools, an alternative secondary school, and an early childhood center. District programs address the special needs of learning-disabled, academically gifted, and artistically talented students. The Renton School District serves a diverse population; our racial/ethnic data reflects the diverse, vibrant community we serve: African American 15%, American Indian 1%, Asian 25%, White 27%, Latino 23%, Pacific Islander 1% and Multi-Racial 8%. Approximately 2,861 students are bilingual, coming from homes where English is not the first language. Over 90 languages are spoken by our students and families

The ADA Compliance Officer is responsible for providing information about the existence and location of accessible services, activities, and facilities at Renton Public Schools, responds to accessibility requests, and addresses accessibility complaints from students and/or their families.
