from Principal Kain

  • Dear Renton Park Families,

Welcome back to the 2018-19 school year. I hope you have enjoyed your time with family and friends this summer and are ready for an exciting new school year.

I am honored and excited to serve you as the principal of Renton Park Elementary again this year. I look forward again to the opportunity to work in partnership with our Roadrunner families and community as we seek the most effective ways to serve our students. Our staff is committed to excellence in education while supporting our students in developing their talents and skills. This year we have several new staff members. They are as excited as I to be back in the work of supporting our students this school year.

As we work together to support your child I encourage you to become involved in the work we do at school. The PTA is a great place to get started. They provide many opportunities throughout the year to support our students in their growth, not just academically, but also just in having fun. PTA supports Scholastic Book Fairs, Science on Wheels, bingo, movies, fundraising opportunities, 5th grade camp, field trips, and so much more. We also support a program called Watch DOGs (dads of great students). Dad's, uncles, grandfathers, or other male family members are encouraged to seek out opportunities to be involved with our students. Students love to see our Watch DOGs at school on the playground, in the classroom or at lunch. What a great way to be a role model for our students!

Thank you for making Renton Park Elementary School your child’s home away from home. I am looking forward to working with you on your child’s educational journey.

    In Partnership,

    Jo Ellen Kain
