Dear Cascade Community:
One of the most important aspects of our school is the extent to which our parents are involved in the life of the school. This may come in the form of volunteering in the classroom, attending a school event, chaperoning a field trip, or participating in the fall parent-teacher conference.
November conferences held from November 16 through 22 are an opportunity to meet with your child’s teacher to share successes and discuss academic and social performance and growth goals. This conference also gives you a chance to share information with the teacher about things you observe at home and how you feel your child is doing. The goal is to partner with you to provide a successful learning experience for your child.
We know that school to parent connections and communication are an important component to student success. Our teachers will be working hard to have all families participate, so please look for communication about your scheduled conference time. If you are unable to attend, please call the teacher to reschedule your conference time. Students will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m. November 16 through 22, so please make arrangements to have your child cared for beginning at 11:30 a.m. on those dates.
On November 9th at 9:00 (Kinder through 2nd graders) and 9:40 (3rd through 5th graders) in the cafeteria we will be honoring those who have served in our armed forces at a Veteran’s Day assembly. Our music teachers, Mr. Oie and Mr. Schott, have been working with students to prepare for this event. We invite all parents, grandparents, family and friends who are current or former members of the armed forces to be honored at this assembly.
Kids love seeing their parents in school and your presence and involvement shows that school is important and that you care about education. Thanks for your continued support.
