The Renton School District is committed to ensuring all students have access to the internet at home to support their learning. The district maintains a limited number of hotspots, intended for students who do not have this access. This page provides information about these hotspot and gives answers to frequently asked questions.

Summer Hotspot Notice

During the summer months, Technology Services will be able to provide very limited support in fulfilling new hotspot requests. 

New Hotspot Requests

High school students enrolled in Credit Recovery will be prioritized for the distribution of hotspots during the summer months. If your student is enrolled in Credit Recovery and needs internet support at home, please contact internet.access@rentonschools.us. In the email, please include the following information:

  • Reason for your request
  • Student Name
  • Student ID Number
  • School they attend
