Device Protection Plan
Students are responsible for the care of their device whether in or outside of the classroom. Learn more about device care and digital citizenship on the Technology for Student Learning page.
However, accidents can happen and the cost to repair or replace a device can be a big burden on families. The Device Protection Plan (DPP) is an annual program that provides an inexpensive solution to lessen the financial burden if a student's RSD issued device becomes damaged or stolen while in their care. Learn more about how the coverage works by reviewing the section called DPP Coverage from the options below.
All students can benefit from this program, but it is strongly recommended for students who take devices home since devices that are transported from place to place are more susceptible to damage.
