Chromebook Troubleshooting

Update the Chromebook OS

When a student’s Chromebook isn’t working properly, a good first step is to update the operating system (OS). An outdated OS can affect apps and features, so keeping it up to date helps everything run more smoothly.

Power Wash the Chromebook

Power Wash gives your Chromebook a fresh start by deleting all local data, removing software conflicts and malware, and restoring the operating system to its original state.

Hard Restart

Completing a hard reset is best for instances where a Chromebook is frozen or not responding.
