Renton School District

Transportation

Renton School District provides free transportation for students who live within their school attendance area but outside the school’s walk zone. Additional consideration is given to students with special needs.

Schools have a 1-mile radius walk boundary. Eligible students are provided service beyond the walk boundary.

Bus Route Information

Bus route information is emailed to eligible families a few days prior to the start of each school year. For questions or concerns about your student's school bus stop and routes, please contact Transportation Routing.

Arrive early

Students should arrive to their designated bus stop location five (5) minutes prior to the scheduled arrival of the bus. Transportation schedules will not allow for drivers to remain at a stop location waiting for students.

for Kindergarten and Preschool Students

For preschool and kindergarten families: Students will NOT be allowed off of the bus without a parent/guardian present at the stop location. In order for your student to be dropped off with a sibling or other authorized adult the parent/guardian is required to sign this release form and return it to the driver.

My Ride K-12 Mobile App (formerly Ride360)

Transportation offers a mobile app called My Ride K-12 that allows families to look up bus route information, receive alerts/notifications and more.

You can visit the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Andriod) to download the new app today!

Here's a reminder of when/how drivers must stop when a school bus is picking up/dropping off students. Let's continue to work together to keep students safe at school and in their community!
