Facilities & Maintenance
The Facilities, Operations, and Maintenance Center (FOMC) supports 16,000 students and staff in over 2.5 million square feet of facilities. Comprised of four district departments, FOMC is home to capital projects office, district energy management office, maintenance, and daily operations for Renton School District.
Maintenance Department
The maintenance and grounds teams are responsible for the preventative maintenance, repairs and ground upkeep of approximately 2.5 million square feet of buildings and fields spaces. The department consists of 1 director, 1 project manager, 11 grounds technician, and 16 trade field technicians.
Custodial Department
The custodial team is responsible for cleaning approximately 2.5 million square feet of building. The department consists of two managers and 81 custodial staff.
