There will be no school from Monday, December 18, 2017 - Monday, January 1, 2018 for winter break. School will resume on Tuesday, January 2nd.
Responding to the needs of families, Renton School District will offer before- and after-school programs for elementary students, right at their own elementary school beginning in the fall (at the start of the 2018-2019 school year). The work is a result of input provided to Renton Schools Superintendent Dr. Damien Pattenaude by many families, students, staff, and community members.
The programs will provide safe, engaging, and meaningful in-school extracurricular programs to enrich the lives of students, give parents peace of mind, and enable schools to continue focus on their academic mission. Families will be able to choose to have children attend before school, after school, or both, as well as other options. This is a fee-based service with discounts based on family size and income.
Learn more about the program, see the fee schedule, and read answers to frequently-asked questions at the new webpage: www.rentonschools.us/BeforeAfterSchoolPrograms. Families can also choose to attend a Right At School Family Information Night on Thursday, Jan. 18, 6:30 p.m. at Renton High School commons, 400 2nd Ave South, Renton (no registration is required for this presentation).
