Veteran’s day is just around the corner, and this year we want to hear from you!
Are you interested in speaking at the Veteran’s day assembly? Write a speech about your personal experiences in the United States of America. This can range from how you’ve experienced patriotism or the armed forces to why you are proud of your country. For more information, ask Ms. Ramirez in the ASB office. Get them in ASAP if you want to be chosen!
Do you speak, read, and write in a language other than English?
Are you behind on credits, or want to get World Language credit for a language you already know? You can earn up to 4 credits by taking the World Language Test here at Hazen on October 30th, during school. See Mrs. Harris in Counseling to sign up for the test before the October 19 deadline.
Have you ordered your Hazen hoodie yet?
Order forms are available outside the ASB office and hoodies are $35. Stay warm, look great! Last day to order is October 22nd.
No H.E.L.P Today
Due to a staff meeting, there will be no H.E.L.P. program in the library afterschool on Wednesday, October 17th. The library will be closed at that time to students as well.

Were you trained to do CPR? Do you remember how to do it? … Would you do it if someone collapsed near you? Remember, if someone unexpectedly collapses: call 911 and Push Hard & Fast in the middle of the chest.

Running Start athletes doing a fall sport. Tomorrow is the deadline to turn in your current grades. Turn them into your coach or Ms. Olson.
Wrestling! If you are interested in joining the wrestling team we will be holding our pre-season meeting this Thursday at 2:10 PM in the weight room. This important informational meeting will last 15-20 minutes. Boys and girls are welcome with weight classes from 98-285 pounds. Bring yourself and a friend!
Lady Bowlers You can now start turning in your paperwork to get cleared. You will start in the ASB office and pick up a pink clearing checklist, then see Ms. Olson in the main office. You can do this during lunch and after school. Bring a friend, we want to build our team!
Start making plans for Hazen’s last home football game of the season, THIS FRIDAY NIGHT! it’s Senior Night and we’ll have a great ½ time show with mini cheer and mini drill performing! Game time is 7pm so be at the stadium early for the tailgate! Our Football team is in first place in our division and with a win on Friday night, we play for the League Championship in Enumclaw next week! ROAD TRIP! The team needs their HAZEN 12 in the stands to take us to the top!
The Tennis Team finished its second day of the league tournament with six players still competing for spots at districts next week. Every Hazen team won at least one match in qualifying until dropping to a higher seeded opponent. Please wish Alex Huynh, Sohil Shah, Nick Ngo, Kenny Nguyen, Mark Ngo and Alex Nguyen good luck as they continue today and tomorrow afternoon matches.
Hazen Soccer is playing today at Kentridge - 5:30 JV 7:30 Varsity. What’s that I hear? Game Day? Hazen power? Take care of stuff? Come out and help us make sure somebody (Kentridge) has a bad day.

Ping Pong! Come join the Table Tennis club this Thursday after school at 2:15 in Room 139. Players of all levels are welcome and encouraged to join. Don’t forget to bring your own paddle, if you have one.
