Survey for families interested in before- and after-school programs at elementary schools
Renton School District will offer before- and after-school programs on-site at all 15 elementary schools beginning this fall (at the start of the 2018-2019 school year), using Right At School, a nationally recognized tuition-based before- and after-school enrichment provider. The program will provide a safe learning environment and enriching programs for elementary children before and after school, right at their own school. The program will operate every day starting at 6:30 a.m. until school starts, and from the time school ends until 6:30 p.m. After a snack and fun fitness activities, students complete their homework and have an afternoon of meaningful curriculum-based enrichment activities through sports, games, arts and crafts, and more.
If you have an elementary school student, please take this survey to help us gauge enrollment interest in elementary school before- and after-school programs. As Renton School District strives to meet the diverse needs of our community, we would appreciate your participation in this survey.

New! District to offer Before- and After-School Programs
Responding to the needs of our families, Renton School District is working to offer before- and after-school programs for elementary students, right at their own elementary school. The work is a result of input provided to Renton Schools Superintendent Dr. Damien Pattenaude by many families, students, staff, and community members.Offering the program is part of the district's commitment to providing safe, engaging and meaningful in-school extracurricular programs to enrich the lives of students, give parents peace of mind, and enable schools to continue focus on their academic mission. Renton Schools staff will continue work to have the program in place in the fall (at the start of the 2018-2019 school year). The company selected is Right At School, an organization that currently provides quality services at other school districts in Washington and states across the country (learn more about how Right At School was slected on the Frequently Asked Questions page). The fee-based services offer a curriculum that features hands-on learning, multi-sensory activities, child-driven projects, daily fitness, team building, and leadership development. The program will offer options for families to attend before-school program, after-school programs, or both. There is also a sliding fee scale to accommodate family needs. See the Right At School fee schedule here.
Renton Schools staff will continue work to have the program in place at some all elementary schools this fall (at the start of the 2018-2019 school year).
