    College Bound Scholarship Conference | January 26, 2019, 8am-12pm
    High school seniors and their families are invited to attend this conference to learn more about their College Bound Scholarship reward. Workshops availlable at this event will include how to apply to their choice colleges, College Success Prep workshop, and a FAFSA/WASFA workshop.

    College Bound Resource Fair | February 2, 2019, 9am-1pm
    This fair is specifically for people with disabilities who have a desire to become college students who are currently in high school (9th-12th grade), high school graduates, adults and young adults, parents, educators, and also people who provide educational services to other are welcome to attend the event. The 3rd annual event is free for all attendees. For anyone who is interested in going, and to receive more details of the event as well as the fair agenda, they should register.

    College Awareness Day | March 16, 2019, 9am-3pm
    The University of Washington-Bothell is hosting an event for 1st year college students and focuses on diversity, access, and inclusion in higher education. The day is divided into two parts. The students will meet up with the group that represents their ethnic group, whether Asian, Black, Pacific Islander, American Indian, or Latino and explore the university classroom. The second half of the day the students will be able to choose from a variety of breakout sessions and topics.

    Women Fly| March 22, 2019
    This event at the Museum of Flight is a great opportunity for young women who are interested in pursuing a career in aerospace or aviation. You will get to attend workshops that are led by women who currently working in the field to gain more insight and knowledge on opportunities in the aerospace field. More information on how to sign up for this field trip will be available at a later time.

    Lindbergh High School's Trades Fair & Mock Interviews | March 27, 2019
    This is a great opportunity for students to explore different post-secondary opportunities aside from the traditional 4-year college route. Different companies and apprenticeship programs such as Boeing, Seattle City Light, Puget Sound Energy and the Washington State Patrol will be present.

    Blacks at Microsoft Minority Student Day | February or March TBD
    Do you have a passion and plan to pursue a career in technology? This field trip has great information on what it takes to be successful in technology. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about Microsoft, do hands-on projects, and network with professionals in the field. More information on how to sign up for this field trip will be available at a later time.

    College Planning Day | March TBD
    This is a great opportunity to explore a college campus and to learn more about the different universities and colleges in Washington State! There are different presentations from colleges such as WSU, Eastern, Western and UW. For more information, visit the Career Center. More information on how to sign up for this field trip will be available lat a later time.

    National College Fair | November 2, 2018
    Start your college search by attending the largest national college fair at the Washington State Convention Center. You will get to connect and learn about different local, out-of-state and international universities and colleges. There are also helpful informational workshops that you can attend.     Pierce County Career Day  | November 14, 2018
    Are you interested in construction, manufacturing, transportation and/or aerospace careers? Pierce County Career Day is seeking students to learn about these industries through interactive exhibits and hands-on activities and, outdoor equipment to operate. It is a great event to make connections with the students and professionals in the field. More information on how to sign up for this field trip will be available at a later time.

    September 18, 2019 | Money Maze Presentation 

    Money Maze Presentation- finding money for college, is a workshop designed to address the major issues facing students and parents as they pursue all types of need and merit-based financial aid programs. 

    All high school families and students are invited to attend the district’s annual Money Maze presentation September 18, 2019 at the Renton IKEA Performing Arts Center, at Renton High School, 400 South 2nd Street, Renton WA. Come early to get additional financial aid resources before the presentation begins. At the end of the presentation families have a chance to win prizes that will be raffled.

    For additional information, and to RSVP for the Money Maze presentation, high school students should contact her/his high school Career Center Specialist.

    October 23, 2019 | Annual Post-Secondary Fair

    Come learn about post-secondary options such as the military, colleges, universities, trade schools, apprenticeships, and internship opportunities at the Annual Post-Secondary Fair to be held at the Renton Pavilion Event Center, 233 Burnett Ave South, Renton WA 98057, on October 23, 2019.
