NACAC Seattle National College Fair, November 2, 2018
Open to seniors*, connect with admission representatives from over 200 colleges/universities from across the nation and around the world! You are encouraged to bring lunch, as it is expensive to purchase food and the lines will be long. *NACAC Seattle National College Fair is also on November 3, 2018, 12-4pm. All grade levels are strongly encouraged to attend along with their parents/guardians.
Pierce County Construction Career Day, November 14, 2018
As one of our country’s largest industries, the construction trades are facing a shortage of skilled workers! This opportunity is designed to inspire Western Washington high school students toward construction careers. Students will have the opportunity to operate outdoor heavy equipment and experience hands-on construction activities. So, wear warm clothing and layers. There is even a ladies-only area! The 28th annual BMSD, this fieldtrip aims to supports students interested in a future in technology, who also happen to come from an underrepresented racial and/or minority community. Microsoft provides breakfast, lunch, a keynote speech, workshops with hands-on-activities including networking and building your own brand, swag for all and the chance to win raffle prizes! Women Fly!, March Date TBD, 2019
Ladies, this is a special opportunity to explore aviation and aerospace careers. Located at the Museum of Flight, you’ll attend a keynote speech, workshops featuring hands-on-activities, have lunch and the chance to go through a college and career fair. College Planning Day, March, Exact Date & Location TBD
This is a great opportunity to explore a college campus and get a grip on college planning! There will be presentations from college around the area, such as Western, UW, and WSU, and you will be able to meet with representatives from these colleges and more! Campus tours will also be running throughout the day, so there will be a chance to explore the hosting college’s campus. UWDP Spring BBQ, May DATE TBD, 2019
UWDP Spring BBQ is the official kick-off event for juniors as they begin to work with UWDP Mentors for their post-secondary plans. This fieldtrip provides juniors with the opportunity to explore UW, Seattle on a campus tour, have a BBQ lunch while listening to a panel of current UW students share their experiences and answer your questions, plus attend a lecture class taught by a UW Professor! Juniors, details will be released in spring 2019.
