Kindergarten registration for the 2018-19 school year begins Tuesday, Jan. 16!
Registration for new kindergarten students begins Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018. Parents of eligible students can visit their neighborhood school to pick-up a registration packet. A child must be five years old on or before August 31, 2018 to be eligible for kindergarten enrollment.
Parents can fill out the necessary paperwork and register their child now. Tours of schools and meetings with teachers will be conducted in mid-April during the “Ready for Kindergarten” events being held at each school where staff will share expectations for students as they enter kindergarten and provide families with some fun activities to help ensure that your child is prepared.

All registration takes place at your assigned school, which is determined by your home address.

Find your assigned school by entering your address into the Renton School District school locator. You can also find your school assignment by contacting the district’s Student Information Services at 425-204-2333.
Where can I get enrollment forms?
Enrollment packets are available now at your neighborhood school.
What information will I need to bring to the school when registering?
- Birth certificate
- Proof of residence, such as a utility or mortgage bill, rental agreements
- A copy of your child’s heath record and immunization history
- Emergency contact information (names and telephone numbers of two authorized contacts for your child)
