Hello Tiffany Park Families!
A lot is happening at Tiffany Park this week:
The Reading Challenge continues. Students are encouraged to read every day and log the minutes in the forms provided. Reading together as a family, or reading to a child can also be counted for minutes. Fun Prizes and surprises await students. The school goal is to reach 400.000 minutes by the end of May. If this goal is reached a really fun Glow in the Dark bowling experience and special camp treat will be enjoyed by all Tiffany Park students. EVERY Child is encouraged to read some minutes and contribute to this school goal.
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Fundraiser is continuing and will end Friday, April 28th. We thank you for your generous support of this important organization!
The PTA is sponsoring a special Mother’s Day Plant sale – all orders are due April 28th! What a beautiful way to treat mom to spring flowers while supporting our school!
The end of April will be celebrated with our annual Spring Social, Friday, April 28 from 6:30 – 8:00. This is SUPER fun and all are invited to join in the dancing. Students have been practicing dance steps as part of the Aerobics and fitness PE unit.
This week the following classes will be taking the SBA State test:
Tuesday, April 25: Ms. Gomes and Ms. Huserik
Wednesday, April 26: Ms. Rogel and Ms. Matthies
Thursday, April 27: Mr. Korn and Ms. Verity
You can support your child during these days by making sure they are well rested and have a healthy breakfast and arrive to school on time. The SBA (Smarter Balanced Assessment) is a Washington State required test for all public school students beginning in grade 3. The tests are given to help teachers know how to students are progressing and how to adjust instruction to best support student learning. The test does not impact grades on report cards or promotion from grade to grade.
Thank you for your support!
