Hello Tiffany Park Families!
This is our last full week of school, and students and staff are busy preparing for the end of the school year. The last day of school will be Wednesday, June 20th. We have four staff members who will be enjoying retirement after the school year ends. Please join me in congratulating librarian, Ms. Mae Davis, ILC intermediate teacher, Ms. Ellafair Keyes, speech pathologist, Ms. Carol Moore and kindergarten teacher, Ms. Pat Twiss. Tiffany Park wishes them well in retirement. Many decades of Tiffany Park students have been reached by these four fantastic women, and their contributions to education are immeasurable. Thank you Mae, Ellafair, Carol, and Pat for your years of service to our students and community. You will be missed!
On Friday, June 15th we will hold our final I-CARE Family Forum at 6:30 in the Cafeteria. Erin Jones will be returning to facilitate a conversation with you and your children about how to have conversations about race and equity with your students. We will be reading the book All the Colors We Are by Katie Kissinger and answering kids' questions about race and equity. Our new administration, Principal Steve Lesco and Assistant Principal Genevieve Ramsey will also be in attendance so please bring your students and join us for an evening of conversations, snacks, and meeting the new principal and assistant principal.
Our lost and found area is bursting with coats, sweatshirts, hats, and other items. Please be sure to stop by and check it for any lost student items. After school gets out, all remaining items will be donated to local used clothing stores.
The week of June 18th we will wrap up the school year with our Move-Up Celebration Assembly on Monday, June 18th beginning at 9:00 AM. Field Day will be held on Tuesday, June 19th. Look for sign-up from PTA for assisting with Field Day. We will also be celebrating our volunteers on Tuesday the 19th, so please stop in for some treats as a thank you, and to say hello. This school year would not have been a success without all the help from our volunteers – from Watch D.O.G.S. to classroom help to field trips, we love our volunteers! The last day of school will be Wednesday, June 20th.
Have a wonderful week!
