Events at school this week include the following:

will be collecting pennies for to support research to fight Leukemia and related cancers. Our fund drive will continue until April 28th.

SBA testing will begin for the following classes:

You can support your child during these days by making sure they are well rested and have a healthy breakfast and arrive to school on time. The SBA (Smarter Balanced Assessment) is a Washington State required test for all public school students beginning in grade 3. The tests are given to help teachers know how to students are progressing and how to adjust instruction to best support student learning. The test does not impact grades on report cards or promotion from grade to grade.

          ALL WEEK:

And – throughout this month a reminder to keep on reading at home and logging minutes for our Reading Challenge: “Camp out with a Good Book”

Student have received forms on which to track the minutes they read at home. Once students reach different reading levels they receive a special individual prize.

All students are counting minutes for a school wide goal of 400,000 minutes. When that goal is reached all students will celebrate with a special celebration: “Glow in the Dark Under the Stars Bowling” and a Special and Delicious Camp Treat.
