Mobile Wireless Labs (MWL)

 In Fall 2006, wireless notebook computers carts were deployed in all Renton School District schools.    The cart on wheels can easily be moved from location to location for more flexibility than a computer lab. The cart will have 15 computers plus access points to transmit wireless connectivity. A printer is mounted on each cart. Elementary schools have 2 carts per school. Secondary schools have 4 carts per school.

Renton Learning Gateway

At the beginning of the 2007-2008 school year, Renton School District implemented a web portal to give parents and guardians access to a variety of student information such as attendance, health information, in some cases, grades and classroom assignments. This web portal is called the Renton Learning Gateway. From the Learning Gateway, parents and guardians can connect directly to Skyward Family Access.
