Who do I call with a technology Problem?
If it is something we support email or call the helpdesk. helpdesk@rentonschools.us or (425) 204-4357
Have your first and last name, your school and room number, phone extension and a brief description of the problem ready when you call or email.
If the Help Desk cannot resolve your problem over the phone an incident ticket will be created for your issue and assigned to the appropriate IMS staff member. Emails automatically get created as incident tickets. All requests for help from the IMS department should be made through the Help Line or helpdesk email. This ensures that technology problems are tracked in our database in order to measure our response time and plan support needs so we may serve you better.

Why do we ask you to reboot the computer for so many problems?
The Windows Recovery Tool can fix so many problems when you restart the computer. Your last login may not have picked up every connection or program piece it needed. If there was any disturbance (power loss or change) to the network since the last time you started the computer, you will need to restart the computer to reestablish the connection to your network drive and printer. Reboot before you call for help and you may find you do not need us after all.
