Meet the Director

Renton School District Students, Families, and Staff:

Welcome to our corner of the Internet! Information Management Services has a focus on service and we are eager to provide the best technology and support with the dollars and resources entrusted to our care. We are fortunate to have a community that understands and values technology and what it can do for the children in our schools. Our voters continually approve Technology and Construction bonds and levies that fund nearly all of the District's technology initiatives.

 In addition to the generous support of the community, we have an excellent team of top notch technicians and system administrators as well as supportive relationships with our vendors and contractors. Technology "power users" throughout the school buildings and departments help reduce demand on IMS by being our early warning system and by helping their coworkers with common technology questions. All of these people resources are the backbone of our support system and their dedication to the students, teachers, and community is obvious in their daily work. We frame all of our work and technology decision-making around the question: "How will this help students achieve their greatest potential?"

If it was enough to have stable funding and dependable energetic labor, IMS would be in good shape. However, we also benefit from the solid support of the School Board of Directors and the Leadership Team as we pursue new technology and tools for our students and schools. Our larger projects and technology initiatives also benefit from the guidance of the Renton Technology Coordinating Council (RTCC).
