Substitute Pay:
Certificated/Emergency/Sub Teachers
$140 per day
$160 per day after substituting 20 (non-consecutive) days in Renton
Retired Renton School District Teachers
$150 per day
$170 per day after substituting 20 (non-consecutive) days in Renton
The District accepts applications for substitutes on a year-round basis. To make a specific application for a substitute you will need to:
1) Complete the regular Online Application.
2) On the applicant Preferences tab, check the box for "Substitute" work.
3) On the "Inserts" tab for certified positions, print out and complete insert "d" (substitute insert) required for substitute teaching.
4) Mail or fax (425.204.2416) this completed form back to our office along with other supplemental materials required for a complete certificated application.
Once your completed application is received (including receipt of your supplemental information, i.e. letters of recommendation, resume, etc.), you may be considered for a substitute position. If selected for an interview, you will be notified by phone.
