Renton School Material Distribution Process

Renton School District recognizes the benefits to students of providing information about local organizations and events.  Such materials must provide information that is non-sectarian and is directly related to student activities.  These activities must be offered by non-profit organizations. Non-profit organizations wishing to distribute material to schools must be registered as such with the State of Washington.

Procedures:

1. All materials must be approved before distribution.  A copy of the requested materials to be distributed must be sent or brought to the Renton School District Administration Offices, Attn: Randy Matheson, 300 SW 7th Street, Renton, for review, along with the appropriate forms (see attached); fax number, 425-204-2456.  You will be notified in a timely manner of the approval or disapproval. 

2. Approved materials will not be distributed to students. Materials will be placed in an area where interested parents or students can take a copy of the materials. Materials should be in bundles of 15-20 per school with the school’s name and a copy of the approval form placed clearly with the materials.
